Nevada Sunrise holds a 20.01% interest in the Kinsley Mountain Gold Project (“Kinsley Mountain”), operated as a joint venture by New Placer Dome Gold Corp. (TSXV:NGLD, formerly Barrian Mining Corp.), who holds a 79.99% interest. New Placer Dome Gold Corp. acquired its interest in Kinsley Mountain from Liberty Gold Inc. in June 2020.
Drilling by the Kinsley Mountain joint venture since 2013 has intersected high-grade gold mineralization over appreciable widths in the Western Flank target area. In November 2015, Liberty Gold Inc. and Nevada Sunrise released an initial NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate for Kinsley Mountain.
In February 2020, New Placer Dome published an updated mineral resource estimate stating that Kinsley Mountain hosts Indicated Resources of 418,000 ounces of gold grading 2.63 g/t Au (4.95 million tonnes), and 117,000 inferred ounces of gold averaging 1.51 g/t Au (2.44 million tonnes)1. The Company believes there is significant upside potential for new high-grade gold discoveries and for expansion of the footprint of known mineralization and contained resources at Kinsley.
